There's a lot to be said for travel. If someone ever tells you Americans are all alike, suggest to them that they drive across the U.S. and see for themselves just how different folks are throughout this country.

I drove from San Francisco to Miami, stopping in lots of places in between, and then from Atlanta back to San Francisco, taking the famous Route 66. There were so many interesting people and different people and languages and accents and cultures, I felt like I'd traveled through Europe!
